Chula Vista/San Diego (CV/SD) Promise Neighborhood is a collaborative initiative led by SBCS to create a thriving community where every child and family can succeed. Through a comprehensive network of resources, CV/SD Promise addresses critical needs in education, health, employment, and family support. By uniting local schools, nonprofits, businesses, and community members, CV/SD Promise provides wraparound services to empower individuals and transform neighborhoods. The initiative aims to break cycles of poverty and enhance quality of life, ensuring that every family has access to the tools and support needed to achieve lasting success.

Corning Promise Neighborhood
Tehama County
The Corning Promise Neighborhood (CPN) is a community-driven initiative dedicated to enhancing the well-being of children and families in Corning, California. Rooted in the Indigenous concept of interrelatedness, CPN collaborates with local partners to build a continuum of cradle-to-college and career solutions. By focusing on education, health, and community engagement, CPN aims to create sustainable opportunities that empower residents and foster a thriving, interconnected community.

Hayward Promise Neighborhood
East Bay Area
The Hayward Promise Neighborhood (HPN) has achieved impressive success through its community-centered approach, driving meaningful improvements in education and community well-being. HPN’s efforts highlight the transformative power of targeted, local interventions, demonstrating real impact in critical areas such as education and food security. Like other California Promise Neighborhoods, HPN is making a lasting difference in the lives of its residents, underscoring the value of coordinated, community-led initiatives to address the unique needs of each neighborhood.

The Promise Summer of Math Project at Cal State East Bay engaged 36 students in grades 7-11. This interactive program fosters collaboration, allowing participants to enhance their math skills and confidence through hands-on activities and expert guidance. It aims to inspire a passion for math and prepare students for academic success.

Mission Promise Neighborhood
San Francisco Bay Area
The Mission Promise Neighborhood (MPN) has nine public schools and additional early learning centers in a predominantly Latino, low-income area of San Francisco. The initiative has been a cornerstone of community support for over a decade.
The success of MPN has attracted additional investment, including $9.5 million from various sources such as federal community projects, the City of San Francisco, and private foundations. These additional investments demonstrate why Promise Neighborhoods are credible and impactful.
